Qualified interpreters for business, legal, healthcare and public sector settings. On-site in Dublin and nationwide, or remote by phone and video. 200+ languages.
Interpreting is the spoken or signed transfer of meaning from one language into another in real time. It is used when people who do not share a common language need to communicate directly — in meetings, appointments, hearings or on-site visits.
Unlike translation, which works with written text, interpreting happens live. The interpreter listens in one language and conveys the message in another, preserving meaning, tone and intent.
At TTC, we provide qualified interpreters for business, legal, healthcare and public sector settings across Ireland. We offer on-site interpreting in Dublin and nationwide, and remote interpreting by phone or video.
The two terms are often confused. They describe different services.

Many clients need both. Translation handles the documents. Interpreting handles the conversations.
We provide the main modes of interpreting used in business, legal, healthcare and public sector settings.
The interpreter speaks after the original speaker pauses. This is the most common mode for meetings, appointments and interviews.
The interpreter speaks at the same time as the speaker, usually via audio equipment. Used for conferences, court hearings and large events.
Interpreting delivered by phone or video call. Useful when an interpreter cannot be on-site, or for short notice requests.
An interpreter attends in person at your location. Available in Dublin and nationwide, subject to availability.
If you are unsure which mode you need, tell us about the setting and we will recommend the right option — request an interpreter.
Tell us the language pair, date, location and setting. We will confirm availability, mode and pricing — usually within one business hour.
We provide interpreters across a range of settings, including:
Business meetings and negotiations
Legal consultations and solicitor meetings
Court and tribunal hearings
Medical appointments and healthcare consultations
Immigration and visa interviews
Social services and public sector appointments
HR meetings and disciplinary hearings
Training sessions and workshops
Conferences and events
Site visits and inspections
Each setting has its own terminology, protocols and expectations. We match interpreters with relevant subject-matter experience.
Send us the language pair, date, time, location (or remote platform), duration and setting. Include any background material if available.
We confirm availability, the interpreter's rate and any travel or minimum-booking requirements. You receive a fixed quote.
Once you confirm, we assign the interpreter and share any preparation material with them in advance.
The interpreter attends on-site or joins remotely at the agreed time. They interpret in the agreed mode (consecutive, simultaneous or remote).
If follow-up documents or transcripts are needed, we can arrange translation as a separate service.
Every interpreting booking follows a structured quality process.
